Not my first choice
I bought this a month ago, unfortunately, it wasn't a good decision. To make a long story short. I had purchased another fridge but the sales person didn't listent to me when it came to measurments so it woudln't fit. As I was without a fridge I had to purchase something quickly. So I purchased this one sight unseen. Only viewed online. For the over all size of the refridgerator there is not a lot of room inside, The ice maker is too loud. The first time it made ice I thought something crashed to the floor and shattered. The design of the fridge is great if it wasn't for the huge space used up for the ice maker. If the ice maker was made smaller and incorportated behind the scenes instead of in your face there would be so much more room. I would recommend Maytag yes, but not this particular model.

Nice features
We bougth this last Feb 2018 and it really looks nice with nice features though there is a buzzing noise when we draw water from the water dispenser and this is irritating. I checked other brands and there is no noise when using the water dispenser.

The ice dispenser is unmanageable.
The ice dispenser is unmanageable. if you try to dispense to a glass you will always end up with ice on the floor. I inquired about this and did not get a return call.

The fridge is over a month old and my wife hates it. The ice machine is terrible, with ice all over the floor. You have to be real cautious . The ice machine is also slow replacing ice. Inside the fridge has limited space. Vegetables also freeze in the veggie bin.

Like the drawer across the bottom of the frig.
Ice maker takes up too much of the space. Lost one quarter of the frig. No shelves in the door for the staple items.

ICE MAKER NOT GREAT
I'm not impressed with the huge ice maker taking up a large portion of the fridge. I had a new LG with the ice maker in the door at my previous home and it didn't even occur to me that the ice maker wouldn't be the same. I have a feeling this is an older model that they were trying to get rid of. Not happy!!!

Not what I expected for the price
Crisper drawers are cheap and don’t slide well. Ice dispenser shoots ice cubes all over. Had to have it serviced first week we owned it internal circulation fan very loud. Apparently insulation was hitting the fan blades. Still loud

Average quality
Bought the refrigerator last fall and it worked great. Now that summer is here we are finding that the ice maker freezes up and I have to turn it off for a couple of hours so it can thaw. Also note that the fridge labours when the ambient temperature in the house is over 25C

Ice maker
Ice maker crapped out after 1 3/4 years and its $350 just for the parts.Other than that has been an OK fridge. Only other note is that the ice shoot hurls out the ice slow at first and then it comes out like a waterfall shooting everywhere

Ice dispenser
I bought this fridge last month after a month waiting and im not so happy ,
As there was one on display picture did not made so much sense .
The ice and water display is to small that can not put basic standard gloss in position for water and to get the ice its all over the floor system flow compere to any other models in the market .
Evry time to use it is a pain to remember I made a mistake .
how old is this model ?
What can you do to make us happy as the summer is in front of us ..
can it be change and pay for the difference .
i'M looking forward to hearing from you .

First service no one showed up. Second no advance
Would have bought another type if I had known its limitations. Also, a plastic rack for crispers has broken and to date remains they broken even after two service calls.

Not sure if I love it yet.
We bought this fridge in the fall, it throws ice cubes out of the maker with a lot of force and usually dispenses them onto the floor, which enDs up with them under the fridge and all over our flooring. Lots of room, bright lights but wish the ice maker was in the freezer so we could take it out and not have it thrown at us. It also makes a constant humming noise that we can hear in our bedrooms at night, not a sound that it’s something wrong, it’s just louder than the fridge we had 10 years ago.

Good features...
We have had this refridgerator for over a year now. It is performing really well except for the deli drawing that began falling apart within a year of usage. It appears this drawer was made from a weak plastic or probably there was some sort of manufacturing problem. We have not been able to find a replacement of this drawer.

Poor design, cheaply built
Internal layout is horrible. Ice maker takes up too much space. Drawers feel like they could break at any time. Leavers for humidity control constantly going into the drawer when you close it and could break it at any time. Ice maker spills ice almost every time you use it. Fit and finish are terrible with gaps and insulation showing and sharp edges on some plastic parts. Only plus is the beverage chiller

Buy another brand!
Bought this October 28 2020 and just received it April 24 after much complaining to Lastman's Bad Boy furniture in Kingston ( I still have not received the disher washer or stove yet) The fridge broke down after 11 days and a lot of food was spoiled. I have contacted BBB and talking with Master Card to get a charge back due to faulty equipment and horrible delivery service. I had to take the door off and re-install because the delivery guys did not have their own equipment. I will never deal with this name brand (Maytag) again and the Canadian company Bad Boy poor customer relation has been spread throughout many media sources. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

high pitch sound
bought this a month ago. Makes high pitch rattle sound that hurts my ears when compressor turns on (Which is often). Maytag repair called and they said it is normal and below decibals allowed. The high pitch whiny noise hurts my ears so much. Drawers are very cheap. So dissapointed. Sending it back.

Buyer Beware
I bought this for my mother. She kept complaining shortly after that the fridge was rusting. I did not believe because I was trained to believe that stainless steel does not rust. Eventually I went to see for myself. I was completely shocked at what I saw. To add to this wonderful present, customer service informs me that rust is only covered for 12 months and I am a few months outside of warranty. I post here so that others can make an informed decision.

Parts Keep Breaking
I have had this fridge for just a alittle over 2 years , and it has given me nothing but problems. I have replaced the bracket for the drawers twice. There is also no support for the bottom of the drawers besides the bottom shelf, so when you fill the drawers the sink in the middle causing the bracket for the shelves to keep breaking. Would not recommend.

Poor Quality
I have owned this fridge for just over a year. Within the last few months I have started to have some problems, which of course are not covered by warranty.
Crisper drawers are not built well. They often fall out and if closed in a hurry they get jammed.
Ice maker recently started to freeze and jam. In order to fix the entire unit needs to be removed and all the ice needs to thaw. I have called Maytag about the issue and the only option is to pay for a technician to come out. This might not be so bad if the fridge was a bit older, but 14 months is still brand new in my opinion. The ice maker also takes up a lot of space and very few items can be stored underneath.
When filling up a glass or bottle with ice, the ice is constantly falling on the floor. There is not stopper to ensure that the ice makes it in the glass.
The fridge is supposed to alert you when it needs a new water filter. The light came on about 9 months after I purchased the fridge. When I investigated further I realized that Maytag recommends the filter be replaced every 6 months. When I called Customer Service told me the filter should actually be replaced every 3 months. These costs add up and are something to consider if looking to purchase this machine.
Fridge looks nice but I am sure there are better quality items that will not break so quickly.

Don't buy it!
I bought this a little over a year ago, and now, as soon as the warranty runs out, the ice maker breaks. Now they want us to pay for someone to come fix it. It was just for normal use for our family. We paid $2000 for this and it doesn't even last 1.5 years. They say I should have bought an extended warranty. Just so you know going into it what you are really getting and how much it really costs....
