I love my machine except for the refresh cycle. Most annoying to load the machine have the soap in and then it lets me know to unload as it needs to be cleaned. Should be a forwarning as to when this is going to happen!

Lots of features
We bought this to replace our older model Maytag. It works great. Has lots of features that I am sure I have not got through yet. I wish it had a visual reminder like a light, that stays on until you clean it. It doesn’t and if you don’t clean it immediately you can get a few more loads washed and eventually you load the washer and have to immediately unload it to run the cleaning cycle before you can continue. Otherwise I absolutely love this washing machine!

Does the job
This machine is great. Lots of settings and is mostly quiet until the spin cycle.
The spin cycle sometimes can be heard throughout the house! At first I thought a truck convoy was passing by. Significant drawback.
Would also be nice if the default settings for each cycle choice would apply instead of saving the last known settings. Custom settings should be a one time thing or be saved to the available custom slot. To get the defaults back I have to refer to the manual? Seems like a significant oversight.
Otherwise, it does the job and we are happy with it.

Great washer!
I recently bought this washer and matching dryer to replace our "older" (only a few years old) set where the dryer stopped working and our washer had sludge/mold issues on our washed laundry. So far everything's been fantastic and it's great to have the peace of mind from Maytag's 10 year warranty.

Pretty good
We've had this pair for a few months now. I don't use all the fancy features so I can't comment on that. The only cons I've found with it is it is a bit loud. The other issue is because it's so "smart" it doesn't take power outages very well. We live rural and wo power can be finicky during storms. So I learned not to do laundry during storms now because if the power goes out it takes forever for the machine to figure out where it left off. That one day it literally took 8 hours to wash 1 load.

New washer
I bought this washer over a month ago. I’m happy with this so far. Went with the agitator model, hoping to get the clothes cleaner. so far so good. I have had a few unbalanced issues and had to keep on the deep fill option to get enough water in the washer. O do find it louder then my last Samsung washer. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Washes great!
I’ve had this machine for a few months now. I have learnt when washing darks to make sure not to make the load too large. Also to use a bit less detergent. Otherwise I end up with white soap residue.
I’m the jersey mom for my sons U18AAA hockey team. If you have a hockey player in your house just take that smell X 20. This machine cleans them up perfectly!

COULDN'T WAIT TO GET MY NEW TOP LOADER!!
I am quite satisfied with this washer. The only concern I have is that when the clothing is heavy and gets unbalanced while washing, sometimes the washer doesn't correct itself (self balancing) and it bangs hard against the shell of the machine...I just go and rebalance the load when I hear this happen.

Love it most of the time. Only problem I am having, is when washing a large load, it becomes unbalanced very easily. Then I have to cancel the wash and start a new wash/spin. I wish when it would become unbalanced, I would get notification to open the lid and move the load around, instead of cancelling the cycle.

Great Washer with minor drawbacks
I have had the washer for about a month. The clothes come out very clean with the agitator. Some issues are it is not quiet at all. Even with the door of the laundry room closed you can still hear it running. There have been 3 instances where the clothes wrapped around the agitator and stopped the machine. This happened each time I put in a bulkier item such as a bathrobe. I mean you should be able to wash anything you want. I like the different cycles and we are saving money because water is definitely not wasted with the Auto fill function. I wish there was an indicator for how much bleach to put. I have to guess.

Pleased so far
I still think it's far too early to tell if this will be a solid washing machine. Time is the best indicator of how well a washer will perform. So far (30 odd days) the machine works and works well. I'm submitting this review because Maytag solicited me via email that a review will be an entry to a $250 contest, so here is my honest review. My last washer (Whirlpool) lasted 16 years requiring only two minor repairs with the lid close mechanism. The Whirlpool finally died when the motor seized up.
Things that I like about this new machine:
Stainless steel inside drum, very large inside (washes bulky objects eg: pillows, duvets easily), soak feature, add water tap inside, aesthetically pleasing finish (shell, glass top, controls), trays to add detergent/bleach, effective wash cycle, lots of different wash cycles, relatively quiet operation, cell phone app is handy when it works (I've already had to reinstall it once because it stopped communicating with the machine, reinstall did fix it. There was also very little tech support available online for the app/error codes.)
Other observations:
1. I'm 5'3'' (160cm), the machine is on the floor, no riser. It is very hard to reach all the way into the bottom of the machine at my height. I tend to wash single socks multiple times because I cannot reach them. I'm considering getting one of those grabbers to help. If you are short like me, you will likely struggle to get socks and undies out from the bottom.
2. This is a high-efficiency machine, you ALWAYS have to set the water level (low/med/high) or there will not be enough water if you let the machine pick for you.
3. I have never used the 'extra power' button as of yet and don't really think I will. I don't even really know when to use it or if it would make the machine make more noise.
4. The high spin cycle really does get all the water out of the clothing BUT shakes the machine badly. The machine is balanced, but high spin will cause it to move across the floor. It also causes the shell of the machine to rumble like a thunderstorm is occurring, which is very loud. It's freestanding, not built into anything, I suspect this rumble would be minimized if it was built into a cabinet with side support. I tend to use the medium spin option as it doesn't' cause that rumble, but the clothing is damper than the high spin cycle.
5. It's hard to add extra clothing you may have forgotten if you start the cycle as the lid locks. You have to cancel the cycle to add it, and then restart. Pausing the cycle does not unlock the lid.
Things that I worry about:
1. The glass top is pretty, but if your washer is in an unfinished basement, it gets dirty and is just one more thing you have to clean. I also worry about it breaking. This feature is more appropriate if you have your laundry room on the main floor/visible area and are concerned about aesthetics.
2. The controls are all computerized. My old machine was all knobs and switches (easier to diagnose and fix.) I worry this will be a complicated fix if required. The machine is in an unfinished, concrete basement. I worry about how moisture/heat/cold will impact the computerized bits over time.

I've had this washer for about a month and so far so good. I really like that you can fill the tub up with water like the old style washers. I feel that the really dirty clothes get clean better and there is no smell on my clothes like my old top load washer left. Not sure why at the beginning of the of the heavy duty cycle it washes the clothes with very little water then fills the tub. Seems like a waste of time it should just fill the tub and wash so it wouldn't take an hour and a half for the heavy duty cycle with extra power.

Mostly very happy with my machine
I bought this machine a month ago and love using it. It is quiet, gets my clothes clean. On occasion I have a hard time with the power button. You have to touch in just the right manner to power it up. Overall love it! Would highly recommend this machine.

Too little water, no operator manual, loud bearing
Had this about a month. Every cycle except for Bulky, starts by not putting enough water in the drum and proceeds to activate the agitator and wash plate against my still dry laundry. I fear this is going to rip out clothing. Even using the deep water button EVERY load, the machine still initially does not add enough water and proceeds to slam around dry clothes against the agitator and wash plate. Eventually it adds more but only when deep water button was selected. Also with no owners manual it is difficult to understand this machine. I did NOT want a wifi machine. All I wanted was a regular agitator with Extra clean, a faucet feature and a large drum to wash a king comforter. It's also noisy.

Not worth the Money!
We purchased this very expensive washer about six weeks ago. We are not impressed. It’s no where near the quality of our previous Maytag Bravo XL that lasted 15 yrs. It is extremely noisy, seems like every day there is a new rattle or clunk. We had repairman out this week to check it out and said all these noises are completely normal as the machine breaks in it will get worse. There is no seal on the lid. Not worth the money

Washes clothes.
Machine is good. Happy with its performance to date. Not happy with the extended warranty. This was a replacement machine had extended extended warranty on the original machine. They could not fix the problem. (Three tries). The extended warranty was cancelled for the replacement machine.🤮. The last repair on the original machine was damaged by the repairman therefore the decision was made to replace the machine. But the extended warranty was cancelled.
