Awful to clean
Now that I have used the stove I love it except it is awful to clean the top due to the design of the grills and lack of removable drip trays.

Poorly designed low quality parts hard to clean
I've had this stove for a year and I would not recommend it to anyone. Functionality wise it does well for cooking and baking and the convection is great. BUT it's so hard to clean and doesn't hold up to normal wear and tear. First, the coating on the burner knobs started wearing off after only 3 months and now looks pitted and the plastic underpart is showing. The stove top racks are heavy and if you just so happen to place them wrong you can scratch up the stainless steel on the back (which I have done on more than one occasion). The stove top itself once racks are removed gets stained easily so no matter what kind of cleaner I use it never looks clean, especially around the burners. The aqualift self clean doesn't work practically at all. I'll have this unit for the next 10 years but would advise others to purchase something else.

Oven drawer to hot.
My oven mitts caught fire in oven drawer. It is always hot in drawer and I was shocked my oven mitt was on fire in drawer 5 minutes after placing item in oven. Luckily I discovered this quickly and extinguished the flames under running water. Also the knobs get extremely hot. It is obvious extreme heat is escaping from the oven. I have called 5 Maytag numbers and have not been successful in reaching them. Beware of this safety hazard if you have this stove.

So Disappointed
I bought this product from Leons when we moved into our new home in 2015. We got the entire line from Maytag and it looked amazing.
As soon as we began using it for the first time the covers for some of the burners started to chip away. Since they don't come in direct contact with food and because it would have been a nightmare to go through warranty and all that back and forth via mail I decided to just ignore the eye sore and continue using it.
This week I look at my griddle and its peeling BADLY. So bad I now can no longer use it.
I LOVE that thing...its honestly one of the very best features of this gas range.
It breaks my heart that I cannot find where to replace it cause I totally would.
In retrospect for what we paid for these products I shouldn't have purchased them...sometimes expensive is only expensive for show...not for quality. =(
Remember when our grandparents used to buy appliances and they would last years and years and years... what happened to that?
