Missing some of the older features.
I miss the interior light that was on my old Maytag dryer. It was great to see if something was left behind.

The mode ar eawful

Like the looks of the set
But our big complaint is drying time when it's on auto. Sometimes you have to start it 2 or 30 time to get heavy items like towels dry

Where are all the useful options???????
Not bad, the dryer clunks...why is there no filter at the front of the washer???? Dryer has no light...Very, very hard to remove all lint...inside lint trap is useless..opening is so small can't see in side lint trap....i can see this is gonna be a problem with clogging lint traps in the future.

Just fair
I hate the delayed start feature - you have to hold the start button for 3 seconds before it'll start. I can see this feature for a parent but I'm not so I think it should be optional where you can turn it off! Three seconds doesn't sound like a big deal but it's a nuisance. I wish the dryer had a 10 minute dewrinkle feature as well.

Not great for bulky items
Just received this dryer and attempting to dry my queen sized comforter has been disappointing. I’ve tried 2 different cycles now and sadly it’s still damp. Fingers crossed 3rd times the charm.

Where is the Cycle Signal sound?
I called for warranty service because the sound that comes out of the Cycle Signal is barely audible standing 6" in front the dryer or the matched washer set.
There is 3 levels for the sound - it is set at 3 and still nothing audible
What happened?
Why is this not on the warranty service list as a repair?

Not Great but Not Awful
I had the 6000 model and it had an electrical fire so Maytag was nice enough to offer a very little rebate so I bought the 6600 model and it was like night and day. 6600 doesn’t have stainless steel drum, the door is very flimsy (all plastic) feels like a garbage can lid, no interior light, the instrument dash is cheaply made but works, the dryer itself does not dry cloths anywhere near like the 6000. At the end of the day, it works...it’s a dryer!

Meh! Looks better than it works
I know this dryer is virtually the same as others sold under different brand names but have to say that despite having so many options for load types etc., drying times often seem excessive and capacity. I miss my old workhorse dryer that could dry most loads in an hour. Also not impressed with the lack of instructions (generic though they might be) included with the product. I got a one-page measly broadsheet "quickstart guide" which was cut off by at least one words worth on the left margin. When I went online as directed to get more complete instructions, all I could find were the same inadequate one-page quick start directions that were included hardcopy in the dryer. At least I could see the cut off words. I really wanted to find where to set end of cycle signal. Mine doesn't currently make any sound when it's done, which is a mystery.

Annoying features
We have had this washer for about a month. It washes well but takes a long time. The really annoying thing is that if you use a feature, it saves that feature for every time and the only way to turn it off is to cut the power which means turning off the breaker. So if on one occasion you want to use the 16 hour fresh hold, you are stuck with the feature for every other load until you flip the breaker.

Maytag Dryer
Dryer shuts down for some reason within 3 minutes of starting and has to be restarted several times for it to work! As a result it takes quite a while to do laundry!

No sound
Same as the washer. Very disappointed in the ending sound. Should be louder than a soft beep. Three levels but no different between any of them.

Doesn't always dry the clothes
The dryer stops drying when it senses the clothes are dry. However this is not the case when there are track pants in with lighter weight clothes.
Blankets have been impossible to dry. They roll into themselves and then the dryer stops.
I must be on top of the drying cycle, every 15 minutes to keep the dryer working.
This has been the most complicated my drying chores have ever been.

It works
It's a bit noisy - seems to have a rattle that is more noticeable with some loads. Service call did nothing to improve it.

Delicates always wet
We've had this dryer for a few weeks and are really disappointed in the sensor. We use the delicate cycle often and the clothes are always still quite wet when the dryer finishes. Clearly the sensor doesn't work well.

it is a really nice looking machine pair though
i bought this about a month ago when my previous Samsung dryer quit working. I am actually somewhat surprised that when I use the appropriate setting, half the time, I have to add time on for the clothes to be dry. As well, I have found garments that "seemed" dry but the bottom half on a leg of pants is wet. it's weird. not so happy with the dryer.

Lint trap sucks
When I take out the lint trap I can see all the lint in the areas around the trap but I am unable to reach it with my hand. Also the display panel fogs up and has condensation on the inside after running for a hour and 2 times there was water in the vent pipe. The dryer vent is on a angle but water in the vent should not be a result of that. I think the exhaust fan is just not reliable.

Would not buy again
This dryer is loud when running. Cannot run when my son is sleeping in the basement bedroom below the laundry room. The countdown to turn it on is annoying and if you try and press it before the power has turned on completely and the dryer is ready it doesn’t start. The auto sense dry function never gets the clothes dry, although I have never thought the auto sense was great on any dryer I have ever had.

Not sure yet
Bought this unit a month ago. Had to get another one after three days because is was not drying. So very skeptical. New machine works but I still feel does not dry as well as it should. If the washer unit has a capacity for 30 towels...there is no way this dryer would dry those. It has an extra power button, but I should not have to use that every load. Lint screen is not great, and seems cheaply made.

unusual features
to start the dryer you must press the start button first, then press the button below the start button precisely long enough for a 3,2,1 count down to occur. If you take your finger off the button at the wrong time, the dryer won't start. Clothes never dry on 'normal'. Always have to hit the "extra" button for a normal load.

Disappointed
The dryer is only 2.5 years and the steam function has bit it and water leaked all into the inside of the dryer. It will cost $600 to fix which is more than half the cost of a new dryer.
Stay away from dryers that have the steam function, there really is no need for it.

Motor problems rattles
Again Maytag with bad parts. The dryer machine rattles and makes loud noises because of the motor.
The sensor for the dryness is never accurate the clothes come out at time still damp. You put it back in the dryer again and it’s stops because it senses the clothes being dry but they aren’t.
We’ve had the motor replaced over 3 times.

Disappointed
I am finding that I need to put the dryer back on as clothes are not drying in the sensing cycle. I also bought this modes because I wanted a signal at end of drying. The signal is way to low. I have tried customer service a few times but do not get a satisfactory answer

Very unhappy
I bought it 2 months ago. I got advice from the seller. I wasn’t sure about it’s performance after I read some bad reviews. I regret no considering the reviews, they were totally true. The machine is beautiful, no noisy, and holds big loads. However, the clothes come very...extreme hot and wet!!! I cannot understand, I have tried many cycles and different amount of loads....nothing works. After I got some jacket wet, I decided to run a short dry. Cycle, and I got a very hot jacket with some wet ares(still), the zipper was very hoy and I got burnt....definitely no a big fan of the machine. Very unhappy and dissatisfied.
