Poor customer service
I bought this appliance 5 years ago and now having problems. No part available until who knows when so very discouraged with Maytag as a company.

Does not wash well.
Bought this a few years ago and it fors not wash well. Also have had to repair once already outside of warranty.

Terrible quality Do not buy!
We bought this washer three years ago and the bearing in the drive gear is making a high pitched noise. 400.00 + dollars to repair it. It has never washed the cloths properly from day one. Always leaves soap residue. So disappointed, the washer Has commercial emblems on it leading you to believe your getting superior quality. Not the case. Do not buy.

Disappointed
Transmission leaking oil after 3 years. Always had difficulty with large loads, losing balance in the spin cycle. Transmission part under warranty, but the service tech had to destroy the paddle to remove it, asit had seized on to the shaft.

Dead after 23 months use
So I bought this washer from Home Depot Nov. 4th 2016. Everything seemed fine until this week when the machine wouldn't power up and the panel was dead. Had a tech. in to look at it and was told that I would need a new control unit. I called Maytag to get a tech out and it was going to take a week to get someone out. So I called the local appliance technician that is certified to work on other brands but apparently not Maytag (Whirlpool) I live in a town of about 800 people and couldn't be with out a washer for a week. I called Maytag to voice my displeasure and because I didn't wait a week for one of their techs they won't do anything for me. I asked them for an honest opinion that if I paid the $130 service call and waited a week for them to come out and if they came to the same conclusion would they be willing to help me out. They said they were unable to comment. So that tells me all I need to hear
