GEts clothes clean
This washer cleans clothes well although the steam stain removal works best when the stain if pretreated. The washer does have a design flaw. The detergent starts running into the washer door as soon as it is in the dispenser. If you remove the dispenser compartments from the pull out drawer, you can see the opening that causes this. The fix is to turn the washer on and select the settings. Add fabric softener, if using, then add the detergent. Start the washer and then push the detergent dispenser in. This will keep most of the detergent in the wash and only requires a dispenser that is about 2/3 full.

A few shortcomings
I've had this washer for 4 months. There is a learning curve, for sure, like washing smaller loads. Since I wash more often, I don't see how it's that energy or financially efficient. But the electronic door lock has already failed with damp clothes still in it, requiring a call for service. It's still under warranty, but the service man couldn't come for three days and in the meantime the wet clothes sat there. Second issue is that there's no quick wash cycle with this machine. If you just need to rinse a few really dirty things out before adding them to a regular load, there's no way to do it. An option called "overnight wash and dry" is a quick cycle, but then it goes on for up to 12 more hours, drying the clothes too. You have to be right there to turn the machine off after the wash cycle, so there's no leaving the house unless you don't care if it dries those few items. The buttons are really sensitive. My washer is located near a door to the outside, and if I even brush up against it, It turns on. I find the cycle labels rather small and hard to read. Larger labeling would really be nice. I'll continue to use the machine until it fails, hopefully after a long time, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it to someone else.

I own this model nothing but problems and no service wow
I bought this machine with taxes 3000$ new square glass front loaded all it marked is error codes I think maytag should go back to quality and stop the tech of problems

worse buy ever
I bought the top loader Maytag which would not wash clothes properly and sent it back to the store and then bought this maytag front loader. What a mistake! This one hardly used any water and my clothes still smelled after washing for over an hour.. The new eco auto fill is to save on water what a crock!! you end up having to wash them for over an hour time which wastes energy and then your clothes don't come clean! Sometimes my clothes didn't even feel hardly wet after washing.. After drying and you can smell mildew! My white washes the Clorox smell was very prevalent so I watched by pulling out the drawer after the wash started and the Clorox was still in the compartment but would be gone after the rinse cycle.. So I filed a complaint to have it fixed and after the repairman arrived and he was talking to Whirlpool who is owner of Maytag line says that's how ALL the front loaders now work! No wonder I was breaking out in personal places and itching because the Clorox was still in my clothing! I even used an extra rinse cycle and it was releasing the Clorox on the very last cycle.. I called Retail Store I bought it from and had them take back the washer.. They were so understanding! Don't waste your hard earned money one a Maytag..
