New Maytag Large Capacity Top Loader Washer
I purchased this washer in August. I needed a new washer and reviewed different brands. I saw this washer in a sales flyer and thought the price was excellent. I am slightly disappointed with the fact that it is large capacity, however, when you put a big load of clothes in the lint doesn't come off the clothes, instead it seems like the lint increases. Also if you any type of stain on your clothing, this machine doesn't get it out! Seems to work better with much smaller loads of clothes. Wonder if this is because it doesn't use enough water to get clothes clean. I am disappointed as I feel I should have just purchased a smaller washer.

Washer - Deep Water Wash
I don't find this washer to get clothes completely clean, works well on slightly soiled, but for things like grease and stains, I don't find it gets the clothes clean at all. Also we hang alot of our clothes out during the summer and we have noticed that it doesn't remove lint off the clothes and when reading the manual for trouble shooting it says to put them in the dryer, to remove the lint, but no solution if you don't want to use the dryer! Not impressed with the Washer.

Transmission Failure After 4 Years
Purchased this as part of a matched set. Unfortunately the transmission has failed after just 4 years of use. 10 year warranty only covers the drive motor and wash basin, two things that rarely fail. So lost my money on this purchase as a replacement transmission is almost as much as a new washer. Very sad and disappointed with Maytag quality. When purchasing, like many others when I saw commercial technology emblazoned on it, I thought this would be a well built and long lasting machine. Guess you can't believe what you see. Recommend avoiding Maytag products.
