Disappointed in Maytag Washing Machine
We bought this machine on January 3, 2026. It was delivered January 16, 2026. Approximately 4-5 washes per week. On the evening of Friday, February 27, it would not start, in fact, it had no power at all!
Repair person was called first thing Monday morning and arrived on Tuesday. Discovered the capicitor BLOWN on the control board. We owned it for exactly 6 weeks!!!
The service tech that came and the company we are dealing with that Maytag sent out has been great!
BUT, the part has no ETA from Maytag and MAYTAG is telling us we need to wait until Thursday, March 26, 2026 before they can investigate further in hopes that the part arrives. At that time they will let us know next steps. I am not holding my breath at all that the part will arrive and Maytag has no interest in making it right until then. It's a 6-week old machine which replaced an 18-year-old machine that was still going when we decided to upgrade.
Incredibly frustrating and disappointed with Maytag's response to this! Steering clear of them and their sister companies from now on!
